TIP FOR THE MONTH
Stretch
- "Stretching is an essential part of your bodybuilding program. A perfect time
to stretch is after you do a set of a weight training exercise. You need to
rest anyway, and this allows you to catch your breath and keeps the muscles
pumped and the joints flexible. It definitely helps prevent injury may even
make you stronger.
Simply hold a 15
second stretch that effects the bodypart you are training, e.g., hold heels in
low position without weight after each set of calf raises. More stretches can
be found in my books."
Nutrition:
During the holidays we tend to eat more than we normally
would at some meals, and eat foods that we usually don't eat when trying to stay
in shape. So the holidays don't set you back and so you can still enjoy holiday
eating, I recommend staying on a lower carbohydrate, higher protein way of
eating and being strict in your eating habits at all other times. Then when you
do eat those holiday foods with your friends and family it will balance out a
little better.
