DECEMBER
2005 Hello, Christine, Tyler, and I wish you enjoyable holidays along with a little advice as to do until the new year. Take advantage of your gym not being crowded during December and work out there on a regular basis. The program I like to do is to train with weights three days a week: torso on Tuesday, legs on Thursday, and arms on Saturday. With less people in your gym (many of them are out shopping, celebrating, eating and drinking) you'll have easier access to the equipment you need and won't have to wait for it. Cut down on your rest periods between sets, try to knock off a set of 10 to 12 reps and a 15 second stretch every two minutes. On the days in between weight training workouts, do 20 to 30 minutes of cardio. I like to do half treadmill walking at 3 miles per hour for 10 to 15 minutes followed by the same amount of time on recumbent stationary bike. Then do some extra waistline work, 3 sets of 30 crunches super setted with 3 sets of 30 leg raises, followed by two minutes of seated twist. A complete description of techniques is described in my new Zane Body Training Manual. Doing this for the next month will keep you in reasonable shape so that when the new year arrives and the gyms are crowed with fat guilt ridden people who ate and drank too much over the holidays, your work will be much easier. Be smart and don't fall into the trap of holiday over indulgence.
Don't forget, if you live in the Minneapolis area, my seminar at Wayzata High School Sunday December 11th from 2 to 5 pm. Call Christine at 952-945-9090 for details. Hope to see you there. Best Wishes for the coming New Year, FZ
