JANUARY
2002 Here we are in another new year. Generally we look back on the past year and make promises to ourselves about everything we are going to accomplish this year. I believe it is good to aim for a specific time this coming year that you want to be in better shape than you are now. Make that at least 3 months away or more. Start the new year out by taking snapshots of yourself. Take at least 4 pictures in a bathing suit standing relaxed. Photo one from the front, Photo two of your right side. Photo three of your left side. And photo four of your back view. You don't need to show these to anyone and you probably won't want to after you see them. Next, start exercising regularly and eating in a healthy manner. Schedule a time each month to take photos again. Take them with the same lighting conditions as your first set of four photos. Use your photos for a visualization exercise each day. See your body changing into the way you want to look. Do this every month for the next 12 months. Compare your pictures from month to month so you can see what areas need working. People tend to neglect the body parts that are their worst and work their best body parts. That's because this gives them more satisfaction. But you need to see your body realistically and work your weaker areas to bring them up to the same quality as your better body parts. I always do this when I am getting back into shape. It helps me to train harder and to see myself the way I really look, not how I look in my mind. Seeing yourself in a picture, rather than a mirror helps you to be objective and see what you really look like and make specific plans for improvement. Keep a record of your workouts and your eating during this time. You will be amazed at the changes you can make in a short period of time. Have a very healthy 2001! Archive Tips:
